Official Practice PvP 0.1.0 Update

Practice PvP Changes (XP, Leaderboard, Bugs)

We've made some small changes over the past couple of days and while nothing crazy, hopefully these couple of updates will improve the server a bit!

Leaderboards

Recently, there have been developments of multiple cases of account sharing and statistic boosting to boost one's XP rankings and statistics. To combat this, we've implemented a new system that will detect the players that abuse the system. Even though we've caught a large majority of these players, as well as reset their stats, to make sure the system is fair for everyone, we will be wiping the leaderboards clean on October 13th, at 12:00 AM EST (midnight of Saturday and Sunday). As unfortunate as it is, the next time we will reset the leaderboards, we will make sure to announce a couple of weeks beforehand, and that next time will probably be the end of our official Beta (a while). We apologize for the inconvenience, however at the end of the day on Saturday, we'll be sure to upload the final leaderboard standings to the forums so they can be archived and looked at.
Please remember that Statistical Boosting is bannable for 1 month on the entire network, without warning.

XP

We've made some minor changes to the XP system! Here are the final values of each system, in both Casual and Normal.
Casual is a mode for players to either warmup or just chill while PvPing. Normal is more of an intense mode which gives more points for winning but more points are subtracted if you lose. A message is now shown after the game informing you about how much XP you gained or lost.

XP System (Casual)

Winner’s FORMULA = Win Bonus + Kills Bonus
Win Bonus = The bonus the player received if they win the match.
1v1 Win = 25 XP || 2v2 Win = 50 XP || 3v3 Win = 75 XP
Kills = The amount of kills the player secured during the match.
1 Kill = 15 XP

Loser’s FORMULA = Participation Bonus + Kills Bonus
Participation Bonus = The bonus the player received if they finished the match.
Participation Bonus = 10 XP
Kills = The amount of kills the player secured during the match.
1 Kill = 15 XP

XP System (Normal)

Winner’s FORMULA
= (Win Bonus + Kills Bonus) * Normal Win Multiplier
Win Bonus = The bonus the player received if they win the match.
1v1 Win = 150 XP || 2v2 Win = 175 XP || 3v3 Win = 200 XP
Kills = The amount of kills the player secured during the match.
1 Kill = 25 XP
Normal Multiplier = 15% multiplier for any Normal win.

Loser’s FORMULA = Loss Penalty + Kills Bonus
Loss Penalty = The penalty when a player loses a match.
1 Loss = negative of what a win would give (1v1 Win = -150 XP || 2v2 Win = -175 XP || 3v3 Win = -200 XP)
Kills = The amount of kills the player secured during the match.
1 Kill = 25 XP

After the reset, XP WILL NOW NO LONGER GO BELOW 0!

Other Additions

➙ the chat will now say who you are up against and what their XP is before a game begins
➙ party statistics and information will now show up on the scoreboard if you are in one
➙ added new tracking for wins, losses, and kills in both Casual and Normal
➙ improvements made to Exodus (the anticheat)
➙ added queue messages underneath each gamemode

Bug Fixes

➙ you can no longer get the combo hit delay effect in gamemodes that are not combo
➙ there are no longer any queue issues, either queuing up in while being in a party or leaving the lobby and joining back
➙ incorrect team colors will no longer be displayed
➙ there are no longer any issues regarding Sumo
➙ scoreboard will now show the proper value of the amount of people online and playing
➙ enhanced knockback values



Our next update will be Update 0.1.1, expect Skywars & Skywars+ duels, as well as Spleef duels coming your way sometime next week!

Good changes although not happy about the leaderboard reset. Suggestion though: what if previous leaderboarders that were legit have a special cosmetic. It’s a thought ya know, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was not implemented.
