These are the rules and punishments that are implemented on Tapple, with thorough explanation of each rule. The rules are enforced by the staff members, and they follow the guidelines to carry out the punishments.
Playing on the server means that you agree to follow the rules so that we can protect your experience from illegitimate cheaters and allow your gameplay to be undisturbed.
Punishment times are determined by the severity of the offense and previous offenses that a player has.
(Severity 1: least severe, Severity 4: most severe)
If you believe someone is breaking the rules, you can report it here.
“Constantly repeating similar messages or sending messages containing repeated characters.
Bypassing the filter by replacing certain characters or inputting spaces to send a message that is meant to be filtered out.

Discussing or joking about inappropriate topics.
Sending messages containing prejudice or discrimination directed against someone of a different race, sexuality, or culture.
Advertising other servers or an unauthorized social media platform that aren't associated to Tapple.
This includes advertising in public chat, party chat, in private messages*, or by naming an item through an anvil. If you believe someone was advertising in party chat or private messages, please report them with /report or on the forums. IGNs that include socials are allowed (ex. TTV_TapL or TapLYT).
*Sending social media links such as Discord or TeamSpeak are allowed in party chat or private messages, as long as the motive is to communicate with other players and not to advertise a marketing opportunity or increase member count in their respective server.
If you are interested in growing your following, advertising in the #media channel in the server's Discord is permitted as long as the content is related to Tapple. Creator ranks are allowed to advertise as freely as they would like. If you think you are eligible for Creator rank, you can apply here.

For example, a hacked client with PvP hacks, X-Ray/Cave Finder (texture pack included), autoclicker, & more. You may use butterfly clicking at your own risk, however there is a chance that you will be detected by the AntiCheat for autoclicking (for a list of allowed modifications, see here.)
Any behavior, in-game name, or player skin that may be offensive towards other players or display inappropriate content.
Using two or more accounts to boost a player's statistics, that being an alternate account or a friend. Being friendly in a PvP match is not allowed, unless it is in a /duel or party fight

PvP Logging includes logging out of the game whilst in a battle with another player, in order to avoid death or further damage. PvE Logging includes logging out of the game whilst under the effect of a negative environmental damage, in order to avoid death or further damage (fire, cave spider or witch poison, etc.)
Damaging a player BEFORE PvP is enabled. For example, placing a lava bucket under a player, placing gravel on top of them so they suffocate, etc.
Being in close range with another player, and following them around/stealing their items BEFORE PvP is enabled. Players are only punished when this occurs excessively and if it is reported to the staff.
Using any vanilla Minecraft bugs to allow yourself to gain information or view things that you would not be able to see regularly. Some examples are -
• F5 Abuse: Abusing the glitch where being in F5 while having view bobbing on in a stripmine which allows you to see caves outside of your mine.
• F3 + A Abuse: Abusing the reload chunks function to briefly view entities/players past walls.
• Clear Lava Abuse: Abusing the bug to view through lava clearly and identify ores (mods which make lava clear also apply).
Meetup is the period of time that occurs in a UHC when all players are expected to meet or be somewhat close to the coordinates of 0,0. During this period, you may not be underground, skybase, build excessive walls to close yourself in, or do anything else that greatly halts the progression of the game.
Clients/modifications which aim to improve FPS, performance, and/or quality of life. Ex. Optifine, Badlion Client, Lunar Client, PvP Lounge, etc.
Modifications which change the appearance of the head-up display (HUD), without showing extra information that would be unavailable to the player in normal circumstances. Ex. HUDs adding armor/potion status, item indication, directions, FPS, etc. are all allowed. Mini-maps, armor indicators, reach distance, or anything displaying information that is not obtainable normally are not allowed.
Modifications which change certain looks of the game which do not provide any severe gameplay advantages. Ex. Resource/shader packs (which do not make non-transparent blocks transparent), gamma increase/fullbright, or enlarged items
Modifications which allow you to record your gameplay through a different perspective. Ex. Replay Mod or Camera Mod.
Anything that modifies basic Minecraft functions to be toggleable (ToggleSprint, ToggleSneak).
We allow any mod that does not affect gameplay whatsoever, mainly for aesthetic or functional usage. This list does not include all allowed mods, so when downloading a mod which isn't on this list, you are proceeding at your own risk. If the mod is deemed to be punishable you will get a infraction for doing so. Beware.
